President’s Message – October 2025

Welcome to Fall!

This is my favorite time of year. I love the cooler days and nights and the beautiful shades of the leaves as they turn.

I hope everyone enjoyed Lisa Ruble’s lecture on fabric design. It was fascinating to learn the steps to create those patterns that are so much a part of our lives.

The workshop that Lisa led on Wednesday was equally entertaining. It was great to see the variety of blocks at days end.

I am now working feverishly to get my projects for the Quilt Retreat ready to go. I look forward to that time devoted to quilting with friends that share that passion. I hope you realize we are all considered a bit insane because we cut fabric up into little pieces, only to sew it all back together again!

We’ll have another fun lecture and workshop in October by Tammy Silvers. Find out how to interrogate your quilt and have the fabric talk to you. Her workshop, Garden Stroll, will teach us how to put together a fun table runner using fusible interfacing. There is still room in that workshop if you have not yet registered. Sign up soon!
