It has been several really long months since this challenge was first introduced. Last count there were 14 members that showed interest in taking the challenge. Since we have not been able to peek at each other’s blocks, I am curious as to what everyone’s interpretation of “scrappy” actually is.
There are 32 blocks to choose from. The requirement is that you make a minimum of 16 of these blocks AND one of those blocks MUST be the Gwen Marsten Liberated Medallion block.
The original plan was to have the participants show their completed quilts at the March 2021 guild meeting. Who knows if we will be meeting by then or not? I thought I might share some of the blocks that I have completed thus far. I have only used fabrics from my stash for these.
I have only completed 22 of the blocks so far but I am planning to make the other 10 so as to either make 2 quilt tops or maybe even a two-sided quilt.
