Happy New Year KLCQ Members!
I hope you had a festive holiday season, filled with the company of those you love!
Quilting kept me busy over the holidays. You will probably see a few of my projects during Show & Tell in February.
I put binding on a colorful wall hanging that was put together at our retreat last fall and quilted by Shae Vaughn. I also assembled a Christmas wall hanging, made from friendship blocks exchanged at least 20 years ago (talk about a long-standing UFO)! I am just getting started to quilt that piece, so it will be ready for display next December.
Kalamazoo Log Cabin Quilters is gearing up to start an exciting New Year. New programs, new workshops and new charities.
I have one of my Seita quilts back from the quilter and ready to bind. Another one will be coming back from the quilter soon, and I have plans for a third to be done as a Small Group project.
The stash and the pile of UFO’s continue to shrink. May this be a start of more to come!
Try to stay warm and safe during January. I hope that we are finished with snowstorms for a while!
